Barbara currently lives between California and South Africa. She is currently based in Ojai California. She is the co-author of Personal Growth African Style, published by Penguin South Africa, a bold new book. Her creative pioneering spirit has places her at the cutting edge of new and innovative global thinking. Her ability to integrate the creative and the analytical, the visionary and the practical has been a hallmark of her career and way of seeing the world.

Barbara is a champion of humanising the work place, developing conscious leadership and giving voice to the philosophy and practice of Ubuntu. Barbara is rekindling ubuntu in South Africa and in the world. She recently gave a key note talk in the Netherlands in Nov 2011 and now in California is focussing on her music work, also bringing the message of Ubuntu to groups through the medium of music.

Barbara also consults to companies, NGOs and individuals as a mentor and coach, thinking partner and writer, helping them to develop and enhance conscious evolution and development.

As a coach and facilitator Barbara also works with music. She developed an inspirational methodology for enabling people to hear and honour their inner music. The music method emboldens each client to name and claim their magnificence. Through her model of coaching, which combines both inspiration, support and challenge, she has produced excellent results, both in individuals and in groups.
